The following informatio­n is provided by the Newtown Township Police Department:

Friday, March 15

NOISE COMPLAINT - Police were dispatched to the area of Crittenden arive around 9:40 p.m. for a complaint of teenagers being loud at the playground. The responding officer located six teens who were cooperativ­e and agreed to leave the area without further incident.

Sunday, March 17

MAN SLUMPEa OsER STEERING WHEEL - At approximat­ely 2:50 a.m. police responded to the 7-11 on Sycamore Street for a report of a man slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle in the parking lot. The responding officer spoke with the man and detected an odor of alcohol. A portable breath test was administer­ed which provided a result under the legal limit to drive. The 57-year-old New Jersey man told police that he had called friends to pick him up at the location. The officer remained at the location until the man and his vehicle were removed from the parking lot.

Monday, March 18

aUI PENaING - Shortly before 2 a.m. an officer observed a motorist commit motor vehicle violations. The motorist was stopped on the Newtown Bypass near Richboro Road and the driver, Rebecca Neitheimer, 25, of Parkview Way in Newtown Township was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was transporte­d to St. Mary Medical Center to have blood drawn for testing. Charges are pending the results of the lab submission.

Wednesday, March 13

THEFT FROM sEHICLE - At approximat­ely 8:30 a.m. a resident of Mahogany Walk called to report that someone entered her vehicle overnight and took a Sirius uM Radio and a GPS Unit. The victim was unsure if the vehicle was locked at the time of the theft, and the value of the stolen property was not provided to police.
