This June, the good folks of Ivyland will be dusting off their party gear, as they get ready to celebrate the historic borough’s 140th Anniversar­y.

SpRnVRUHG Ey WhH Ivyland Heritage Associatio­n, the 140th Anniversar­y Celebratio­n will take pODFH – UDLn RU VhLnH -- Rn SDWuUGDy, -unH 22 from 12 until 8 p.m. Ivyland’s Borough Hall will serve as home base for this funfiOOHG GDy ZLWh VpHFLDO HvHnWV WDNLnJ pODFH throughout the entire town.

Activities planned for the day includeW rides on The Ivyland New Hope Railroad, guided history walks through the borough, horse-drawn carriage rides and displays by local historical institutio­ns. There will also be live entertainm­ent, yummy food and drink as well as tons of children’s activities. The evening will culminate with a special outdoor concert by the Warminster SyPphRny.

Marcus is the author of four books, inFOuGLnJ ThH AJH RI :LUH DnG SWULnJ DnG his newest novel, The Flame Alphabet. His ZRUN hDV EHHn puEOLVhHG Ln ThH 1HZ YRUNHU, ThH 3DULV 5HvLHZ, ThH 1HZ YRUN TLPHV, SDORn, 0FSZHHnHy’V, DnG TLPH. ,n 2009, he received a grant for Innovative Literature from the Creative Capital Foundation. Other accolades include the Morton Dauw- en Zabel Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, a Whiting Writers AZDUG, D 1EA FHOORZVhLp Ln fiFWLRn, DnG three Pushcart Prizes. Marcus is an associate professor at Columbia rniversity.
