usic by Haydn, Hovhaness and Saint-Saëns with appearances by several distinguished soloists, will delight audiences at the Lenape Chamber Ensemble’s fiQDO VSULQJ FRQFHUWV RQ Friday, April R and Sunday, April 7. The Friday evening performance at 8W1R p.m. will be held at rpper Black Eddy’s historic rpper Tinicum Lutheran Church. The program is repeated Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Delaware salley College Student Center Auditorium in Doylestown.

siolinist Emily Daggettt Smith, member of the Tessera nuintet and the Metropolis Ensemble joins pianist Natalie Zhu, artistic director of the Kingston Chamber Music Festival and cellist Arash Amini director of America’s Dream Chamber Artists to open the program with Haydn’s Piano Trio in A Major, No. 18. It is a thoroughly delightful trio with its rollicking last movement. The String nuartet No. 4 by Alan Hovhaness follows. Alan Hovhaness, New (QJODQG QDWLYH DQG RQH RI WKH 20WK FHQWXUy’V PRVW SUROLfiF American composers, named his String nuartet No. 4 “8QGHU WKH $QFLHQW 0DSOH 7UHH”, UHflHFWLQJ RQH RI KLV fondest childhood memories of an old maple tree near his uncle’s house in New Hampshire where he stood to look out to the mountains that he loved. It will be performed by violinists Cyrus Beroukhim, concertmaster of the New York Symphonic Ensemble, Emily Daggett Smith, cellist Arash Amini and violist Danielle Farina, of the American Ballet Theater Orchestra and Mostly Mozart Festival.

The program concludes with the Piano nuartet in B Flat Major by Camille Saint-Saëns, known for his more traditional and conservative style of music as contrasted with some of the more experimental composers of the early 20th century. Pianist Natalie Zhu is joined by violinist Cyrus Beroukhim, violist Danielle Farina and cellist Arash Amini.

Tickets at $18 for adults, $1R for seniors and students, and $R for children, will be available at the door, or by calling 610-294-9361. The concerts are supported by a grant from the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts and are held at the rpper Tinicum Lutheran Church off Route 32, one mile north of the Frenchtown Bridge.
