Congregation announces services

Congregation Brothers of Israel, located at 530 Washington Crossing 5oad, Newtown, will hold Sabbath Services on Friday, June 28 at 8 p.m. followed by an Oneg Shabbat sponsored by Brothers of Israel Sisterhood; and on Saturday, June 29 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a hiddush. The Talmud class conducted by 5abbi Aaron Philmus will be held on Wednesday, July 3 from 11 a.m. to noon. New participants are always welcome to become part of this interesting discussion group. Members of the Congregation will participate in the community observance of Tisha B’Av on Monday, July 15 at 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday, July 16 at T a.m. at Congregation Beth bl in Yardley. The community is welcome to attend. Joan Hersch, bducation Director of the 5abbi Howard Hersch 5eligious School announces that registration is available for all classes from Primary to Tenth Grade Confirmation. A special program is being developed for pre-school youngsters which will meet monthly during religious school hours. The program will be open to members and non-members of the synagogue. Jewish Heritage Night will be celebrated at the Trenton Thunder Arm and Hammer Ball Field in Trenton, N.J. on Thursday, Aug. 1 and at the Citizens Bank Park where the Phillies will play the Colorado 5ockies on Tuesday evening, August 20. There are limited tickets available for each occasion.
