The Valie Gen­uardi Hob­bit House Early Learn­ing Cen­ter at Gwynedd-Mercy Col­lege will hold its fall open house Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Preschoolaged chil­dren and their par­ents are in­vited to tour the fa­cil­i­ties and sam­ple the cur­ricu­lum. The Hob­bit House pro­vides a nur­tur­ing at­mos­phere for chil­dren to de­velop the so­cial and aca­demic skills nec­es­sary for el­e­men­tary school. Teach­ers will fo­cus on cul­ti­vat­ing core growth ar­eas such as self­FRQ­fiGHQFH DQG GHFLVLRQ­mak­ing abil­i­ties.
