The Mont­gomery County Fed­er­a­tion of Women’s Clubs will hold its ex­ec­u­tive board meet­ing Sept 4 at 1 p.m. at the Wis­sahickon sal­ley Li­brary in Whit­pain. County Pres­i­dent Char­lotte Smith will in­tro­duce the ex­ec­u­tive board and county chair­man to club pres­i­dents. Projects for the two-year term will be dis­cussed and voted upon.

The Woman’s Club of Whit­pain will meet Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Whit­pain Town­ship Community Room. Yas­meen Wer­mer, Wis­sahickon High School Hugh O’Brian Lead­er­ship re­cip­i­ent will be the guest speaker. She will re­late her ex­pe­ri­ence from the three­day lead­er­ship sem­i­nar for sopho­more students, which was held at Tem­ple rniver­sity in May. Ms. Wer­mer was spon­sor by the club. Club Pres­i­dent Sandi Feight Hicks an­nounced awards re­ceived by club mem­bers from The Penn­sy­la­nia State Fes­ti­val of the Arts. Win­ners were: sec­ond place, hath­leen Ed­wards, triple strand bracelet; sec­ond place, Judy Hahn, mem­ber short story; third place, Phyl­lis Feight, cro­cheted scarf. Club-spon­sored students Re­becca Herr won first place in the Stu­dent Art aivi­sion 4 and Alyshia Roberts won thirrd place in Stu­dent Pho­tog­ra­phy aivi­sion 3. The Fort Wash­ing­ton Busi­ness As­so­ci­a­tion will hold its an­nual “State of the Fort Wash­ing­ton Of­fiFH 3DUN” PHHWLnJ 6HSW. 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hol­i­day Inn in Fort Wash­ing­ton, with rp­per aublin Town­ship Man­ager Paul Leonard as the pre­sen­ter.
