The Montgomery County Federation of Women’s Clubs will hold its executive board meeting Sept 4 at 1 p.m. at the Wissahickon salley Library in Whitpain. County President Charlotte Smith will introduce the executive board and county chairman to club presidents. Projects for the two-year term will be discussed and voted upon.
The Woman’s Club of Whitpain will meet Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Whitpain Township Community Room. Yasmeen Wermer, Wissahickon High School Hugh O’Brian Leadership recipient will be the guest speaker. She will relate her experience from the threeday leadership seminar for sophomore students, which was held at Temple rniversity in May. Ms. Wermer was sponsor by the club. Club President Sandi Feight Hicks announced awards received by club members from The Pennsylania State Festival of the Arts. Winners were: second place, hathleen Edwards, triple strand bracelet; second place, Judy Hahn, member short story; third place, Phyllis Feight, crocheted scarf. Club-sponsored students Rebecca Herr won first place in the Student Art aivision 4 and Alyshia Roberts won thirrd place in Student Photography aivision 3. The Fort Washington Business Association will hold its annual “State of the Fort Washington OffiFH 3DUN” PHHWLnJ 6HSW. 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Fort Washington, with rpper aublin Township Manager Paul Leonard as the presenter.
