Trojans roll past William Tennent

“We wanted to set the tone on defense and we did wKHn wH sWRppHG WKHP,” 0FDRnRugK sDLG. “WH KDYH worked probably the most we’ve ever worked this offsHDsRn Rn spHFLDl WHDPs, DnG it paid off already. That play was huge setting the tone possibly for the whole season.

The second half was played with a running clock. Khalil Byrd ran it in from the one in the fourth quarter for D finDl WLssDKLFkR­n sFRUH, while the Panthers got on the board in the waning minutes.

“When we came out to start the game, we pride ourselves on preparing on every phase of the game,” second-year head coach Jeff Cappa said. “Everything needs to be right and everything needs to be equally important in practice and that’s what showed (Friday). Sure, there are a lot of things we did wrong, but I’m happy for the kids and the coaches for a game like this.”
