Philip J. Sabella, U5, of Ambler, died on Sept. 2, 2012, at Abington Hospice at Warminster. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Ann “Peggy” Sabella.

He was born in Gl e n s i d e , Pa., on Feb. 25, 1927, to the late Salvatore and Maria EGalante) Sabella. Philip served our country in the rS Army during WWII. He was the owner of Phil’s Tailor Shop in Ambler for over 50 years.

Philip was a devoted hus- band, father and grandfathe­r who loved spending time with his family. He was famous for his storytelli­ng and enjoyed history and ballroom dancing. He ORYHG VDOW ZDWHU fiVKLnJ DnG going to the shore with his wife and family. Philip was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by two children, Marybeth Paone EDavid) and Sam Sabella EAndrea); four grandchild­ren, Eric, Elizabeth Paone, Noreen Stackhouse and Philip N. Sabella; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predecease­d by all of his siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass on Friday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 259 Forest Ave., Ambler, Pa. The viewing will be from U to 9:30 a.m. at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
