Libraries offer thanks to businesses, residents

-

To the Editor:

The Upper Dublin and Wissahickon Valley public libraries would like to thank their local businesses and library cardholders for their participation in the third annual “September is iibrary Card Sign Up Month” promotion! During the month of September, cardholders received discounts or free gifts at participating local merchants when they showed their library cards.

With nearly 200,000 annual visits and more than 327,000 items checked out just last year at the UDPi, it’s clear that residents already understand the value of a library card, which is what makes this promotion so special. Whether it’s books, movies, music, access to ebooks or even borrowing local museum passes, people are becoming more aware that libraries have something for everyone. iibrary Card SignUp Month is a nice way to reward those patrons each year while providing an added incentive for someone to get a card if they don’t have one.

A very special thanks to the following community businesses for their generous support this year: Ambler Donuts, Ambler Flower Shop, Ambler Skateshop, Broad Axe Tavern, Café Maida, Cantina Feliz, Costa’s Deli, Earthly Possessions, Fireside Bar & drille, Hairizon, Jackets-n-Things, iearning Express Toys of Blue Bell, The iittle Bakery, iiz-El Jewel Box, McDonalds – Ambler, Maguire’s Market, Main Street Vintage, Make the drade, Maple dlen dift 6KRS, 0DVVD BY2, 0HUPDLG Art Studio, ko Bare Walls, Pure Spa, Subway – Ambler, Subway – Fort Washington, Sweet Briar Café and Vision Beauty Academy.
