A judge rules “Dreamers” can pay in-state tuition. Do you like this decision?
Yes. These young people are trying to better themselves. Helping them do so benefits everyone. There is no downside to helping them become more skilled and capable. Letting them pay in-state tuition contributes to the system, while making them pay out-of-state rates — if they can even afford to, something that is increasingly difficult for all citizens — simply amounts to a Mean Spirit Tax. They did not ask to come here, and they are here legally. Let's join them in being part of the solution — and the healing.

No. The fact is they are here illegally and that tuition policy violates the law enacted by voters in 2006 that banned public benefits to undocumented immigrants. The American dream is gone for native born Americans thanks to catering to this kind of thought process. If these aliens don't like it they should try another country. Many would deport them and imprison them. And very few would ever consider allowing aliens in their educational system. Good luck.

Yes. I firmly support integrating “Dreamers” as quickly and effectively into society as possible. They were brought here as children, so I don’t believe they should be held accountable for their parents’ actions. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals addresses this problem and helps pave their journey toward becoming productive, educated members of society. Those who have applied under DACA have been vetted for felonies, misdemeanors and possible threats to national security.

Definitely. Dreamers accompanied their parents to this country as children and should be embraced economically, socially and culturally. We want to include these young people in our institutions, not exclude them. And when you allow Dreamers to enroll in our colleges with in-state tuition, get degrees and eventually jobs, guess what? They pay taxes, buy homes and raise families… just like the rest of us.
