Hot, dry weather and increased fire danger have resulted in restrictions being implemented in several parks, national forests and other areas in the state.

Closures

Three areas in

are closed because of firefighting activity.

The area around the Jack Fire, east of Lake Mary Road and south of Hutch Mountain. This closure includes the Happy Jack Passage of the Arizona Trail in the area.

The area around the Pivot Rock Fire, north of Pine and Strawberry and southwest of Clover Canyon.

The reservoir is closed. Forest Road 751 to the reservoir is closed at Rock Crossing Campground.

Wood- or charcoalburning devices are allowed on the shore where vegetation is at least 100 feet away. Grills are allowed on boats outside Lake Mead and Lake Mohave harbors. Boat grills must be at least 100 feet away from vegetation. Smoking is allowed in areas that are clear of flammable material for at least 3 feet. Discard smoking materials in ashtrays only.
