Prepare to laugh yourself silly at these three upcoming comedy shows around Phoenix.

Paula Poundstone

Thirty-two years ago Paula Poundstone began her career as a comedian by riding a Greyhound bus across the country and stopping at open mic nights in comedy clubs along the way. Since then, she has become one of the nation’s most well-known comedienne­s. In addition to performing standup comedy, she is a regular panelist on the top-rated NPR show “Wait Wait….Don’t Tell Me.”

Oddball Comedy Fest

The “Show of the Century” is coming to town with Funny or Die’s Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival. When the tour hits Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, funny folks Dane Cook, Sebastian Maniscalco, Jim Jefferies, Jeff Ross, Tom Segura, Iliza Shlesinger, Kumail Nanjiani, Bridget Everett, Matthew Broussard, and Big Jay Oakerson will take the stage.

Pauly Shore

The comedian will perform his standup act at Tempe Improv. Shore is well known for his attention-grabbing talents, his “Totally Pauly” show on MTV and for his roles in movies like “Encino Man” and “Son-In-Law.” Shore has written, produced, directed and starred in many of his own projects, including “Adopted,” and “Natural Born Comics.”
