Police seek man who assaulted woman

Glendale police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman under a bridge Sunday morning near 91st Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

The victim told police that she was walking along 91st Avenue at around 6 a.m. when a vehicle drove past her several times. The driver parked and started following her on foot.

The victim said the man confronted her at a bridge, grabbed her by the hair and pulled her under the bridge. He pointed a gun at her and then assaulted her, police said.

The assailant is white, around 55 years old, 5 feet 6 inches and 145 pounds. He has a bald head and a bushy white mustache. His vehicle was described as a red late-model, fourdoor sedan.
