Valley residents should expect rain to close out February before a sunnier start to March, forecaster­s say. Another Pacific storm moved through Monday and showers are expected to continue this morning and into the lunch hour.

If you were hoping for a sunny last day of February, we’re sorry to rain on your parade. Better luck in March. Monday brought yet another Pacific storm into Arizona, with showers in the Valley, snow in the high country, and a dust storm that closed a section of Interstate 10 in eastern Arizona. Showers are expected to continue this morning and into the lunch hour, tapering off towardhigh temperatur­ethe afternoon.to be Forecaster­sabout 62 degrees. expect the Wednesday through Sunday will see sunny skies with low winds and high temperatur­es are expected to hover around 80 degrees over the weekend, according to the NWS. Evening temperatur­es are expected to be between the low 40s and mid 50s. Snowstorms are expected to continue today in northern Arizona in areas with elevation above 6,000 feet, according to the Arizona Department of Transporta­tion. The snow should be falling along Interstate 40 between Seligman and Winslow, with totals of eight to 16 inches in Williams and Flagstaff, according to the press release from ADOT.
