NFL stadium in Las Vegas

Bank of America to finance

- ANTHONY CURTIS

Bank of America has stepped in as the funding source for the proposed NFL stadium, pledging to provide the $650 million that was originally expected to come from LV Sands.

Details are sketchy, but reports indicate that the deal will be structured as a loan, with BofA taking no equity stake in the stadium. The move puts the project back on track leading into a vote by NFL owners that would clear the way for the Oakland Raiders to move to Las Vegas.

Several potential sites are in the running, but no location has been decided yet.

More neon: The Neon Museum is expanding thanks to a $425,000 grant from Las Vegas. The museum, at 770 Las Vegas Blvd. N., has purchased an adjacent parcel of land that will provide space for 30 more signs to be displayed.

Olivia out: Olivia Newton-John Summer Nights has concluded its run at Flamingo. The official word is that the singer’s 2017 schedule didn’t line up with showroom availability. The show was a month shy of its third anniversary.

Frugal gambling: After more than a decade, Jean Scott, author of the bestselling book “The Frugal Gambler,” has penned “The Frugal Gambler Casino Guide.” Scott, nicknamed the “Queen of Comps,” says her new book is targeted toward beginner to intermediate gamblers looking to take advantage of casino promotions and comp systems.

Dollar blackjack: Speaking of frugal gambling, Hooters is dealing $1 blackjack 24/7. It’s one of only two casinos offering dollar games; the other is the Lucky Club in North Las Vegas.

Question: What was the result of the national anthem proposition bet in the Super Bowl?

Answer: There were several anthem props, but the one everyone tracks is the over/under on the time it takes to sing the song. Luke Bryan went easily under 2:10, finishing in 2:04, only the second time in nine years of tracking that the anthem has gone under.
