RHP Enrique Burgos got roughed up during a shaky fifth inning, allowing four runs on four hits with a walk . ... Earlier in the day, RHP Shelby Miller pitched in a minor league game at Salt River Fields to stay on schedule for an upcoming splitsquad game. “He did very well,” manager Torey Lovullo said. “He threw four innings, 60 pitches, he had no walks and it looked like he was commanding the ball real, real well. Those are tough games, tough environments for guys to walk into, but he didn’t let that affect him. He went out there and was focused and did his job.” At the plate: CF A.J. Pollock hit his first home run of the spring, a leadoff shot to left-center field to open the game. He was expected to be evaluated by Diamondbacks medical personal on Monday or Tuesday. Lovullo said injuries were bound to occur during WBC play, although he’s a firm believer in the tournament. “Anytime you put on a uniform or step on the field, whether it’s practice or whether it’s a game, you’re at risk,” he said. “We know that these things happen. It’s all been outlined to these players from Day One that injuries are a part of the game. So we’re not really concerned when or how it happens; they were competing, they were doing their best and unfortunately (he) was just injured.” ...
