An institution says goodbye
Elice Higginbotham (above), legacy pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Tempe, prepares Sunday for the church’s final service. The church, founded in 1892 and in its current building (right) since 1953, was sold to a developer in February after its dwindling congregation decided to dissolve.
