The Islanders won their fourth straight and preserve their long-shot playoff hopes for a little while longer. Jets 5, BLUE JACKETS 4: Jacob Trouba scored twice and Eric Comrie had 35 saves in his NHL debut as Winnipeg beat a slumping Columbus. Mark Scheifele, Mathieu Perreault and Bryan Little also scored for the Jets, who held off a late Columbus rally to win their sixth straight game. Penguins 7, DEVILS 4: Pittsburgh clinched home-ice advantage for their first-round playoff series against the Columbus Blue Jackets with a victory over New Jersey. The Penguins got goals from seven players, two assists from Sidney Crosby and 34 saves from Matt Murray in picking up their 50th win of the season. Senators 2, BRUINS 1 (SO): Craig Anderson stopped 28 shots in regulation and overtime and three more in the shootout to help Ottawa beat Boston 2-1, snapping the Bruins’ sixgame winning streak and pulling ahead of them in the Atlantic Division standings. Lightning 4, MAPLE LEAFS 1: Brayden Point scored two goals and Tampa Bay kept their slim playoff hopes alive by beating Toronto. Toronto, which would have clinched with a win, needs two points over its final two games gainst Pittsburgh and Columbus. Blues 6, PANTHERS 3: Jaden Schwartz had a goal and two assists to lead a surging St. Louis to a victory over Florida. David Perron , Vladimir Tarasenko and Alex Pietrangel­o each had a goal and an assist, and Jake Allen had 29 saves. Predators 7, STARS 3: Viktor Arvidsson had two goals and two assists, and Nashville beat Dallas to remain one point out of third place in the Central Division. The Predators kept pace with St. Louis in the division. Wild 4, AVALANCHE 3: Nino Niederreit­er tapped in the go-ahead goal early in the third period, Minnesota caught a break when a late goaltender interferen­ce call disallowed a goal and the Wild held off the Colorado Avalanche to tie franchise records for points and wins in a season. DUCKS 4, Blackhawks 0: Corey Perry scored a power-play goal, John Gibson made 37 saves in his 12th career shutout and Anaheim clinched home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs with a victory over Chicago. COYOTES 4, Canucks 3: Radim Vrbata scored two goals against his former team, and Arizona moved out of last place in the Pacific Division with a with a win over Vancouver. Luke Schenn and Alexander Burmistrov also scored for Arizona, and Max Domi had two assists. Oilers 4, SHARKS 2: Milan Lucic scored three goals in the third period and Edmonton took a big step toward claiming home-ice advantage in the first round of the postseason by beating San Jose in a possible playoff preview. Flames 4, KINGS 1: Jon Gillies made 27 saves in his first career start, and Dennis Wideman, Freddie Hamilton and Alex Chiasson scored second-period goals as Calgary defeated Los Angeles. Sam Bennett added a power-play goal and the Flames claimed the season series against the Kings.
