Trump voters must bear blame for the mess they helped create

for scheduling town halls. However, the format, length and rules of Tuesday’s event meant most questions went unanswered.

Constituents only had 20 minutes to ask questions, which were screened by staffers beforehand. In total, only about seven questions were asked.

A mother of two children with type-1 diabetes received the brunt of the censuring. As she tried to ask how her children would be able to afford and keep insurance with their preexisting condition if the ACA is overturned, a Biggs’ staffer would not allow her to reference notes, speak beyond what was written on her card, or even hold the microphone.

Congressman Biggs supports highrisk pools. The woman was trying to share that these pools have coverage rates of only 53 percent of claims and deductibles as high as $10,000. High risk pools have a projected budget shortfall of $91 billion.

She was unable to ask how Biggs plans to fund this shortfall. This isn’t good enough. The woman and other constituents deserve answers to their questions.

I hope Congressman Biggs gives his constituents a better audience at his second Town Hall .

If I had to describe this White House in one word I would say it’s one of ineptitude.

It’s a cross between Abbott & Costello and “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest.”

Trump has no coherent policies. He simply reacts to what he sees on T.V. Although Al-Assad’s chemical attack on his own people was a horrendous act, he’s been murdering them for years.

But, our cruise missile attack on the Syrian air base had no effect on them whatsoever. Trump’s approval rating has slipped to 35 percent. Now that an arrest of a Russian hacker relating to our election interference, the FBI is coming closer to attaining evidence against the Trump campaign.

Hopefully they will finish their investigation and fact gathering before the Trump administration puts our country into an even more dire situation.

It’s such a shame that the now regretful Trump voters didn’t pay closer attention before they cast their votes last November. They bear some responsibility of the mess that our country is in today.

Cindy Harms, Religious right will use public funds to indoctrinate students

Wonderful. Now my tax dollars will go to a school that teaches that the world is 6,000 years old, an old guy built a boat which carried all livings things, and, maybe best of all, that the clouds are populated by little fat folks with wings on their back.

After reading that United was giving full refunds to all flight passengers, it might be a good idea to give Dr. Dao the airplane. —
