Seeing Cuba in the waning days of Castro era
I have wanted to go to Cuba for several years. Suddenly, one day last fall, I received an email about a cultural photography workshop to Cuba in November 2016. I instantly said yes. Our group of six intrepid photographers had a fascinating and memorable experience in Havana, Old Havana, Cienfuegos and Trinidad. Fidel Castro died four days after we returned to the U.S., ending his 50-year legend. It felt like we were there on the cusp of a country in transition.
