Try this: Study how illegal migration helps

-

One more study has emerged showing the economic benefits of immigration. This time there is a letter to the president signed by 1,400 economists. Once again, this is disingenuous. No sane person questions the benefits of legal immigration, and the letter signed by 1,400 economists does not address illegal immigration.

As a matter of fact, I have never seen a study on the benefits of immigration that is limited to illegal immigration.

I assume the reason is that it is not likely to show economic benefits.

Get over your fixation with President Trump’s tax returns

If Trump released his tax returns, it would be like Wernher Von Braun releasing his formulas for rocket science.

Nobody would understand what they are seeing and the amateurs would try to spin what has been released.

I know this because I was a tax practitioner in my career. The return would show a massive Schedule E showing partnership names and addresses that will disclose nothing.

I find it interesting that nobody who is qualified to explain this has come forward to help this situation. I believe that it is because they would have nothing to gain and everything to lose from the political spin.

These experts are no fools. The Trump returns have been audited continuously, even under Democratic administrations, so the public should have some comfort knowing that any questionable reporting has been addressed.

There also exists “alternative minimum tax” rules that prevent U.S. citizens from wiping out tax based on certain transactions.

So let’s get over this fixation. No prior president has had a tax return as complex as The Donald’s.
