Campsite burglar caught on camera

- JOSIAH DESTIN

Someone who burglarized an RV at a Prescott campsite in mid-April was caught on camera, and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office released the images Tuesday.

At least one burglar smashed a window and stole food, a weather-station unit, a BB gun, bedding, an electric blanket and board games, a news release said.

Officials received two photos from the property owners showing the date and time stamp as April 12 just before 3 p.m. and again at 5:25 p.m.

In the first photo, a burglar is shirtless, and in the second photo, a burglar is wearing a white T-shirt with light-colored pants.

Sheriff’s deputies say it is unknown whether the burglars featured in the photos are the same person.

Anyone with further information is urged to call the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office at 928-771-3260 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
