ASU’s Sohn leads SW Amateur Tournament in Scottsdale

Arizona State junior Jino Sohn shot a three-under-par 67 on Friday to take the third-round lead of the 102nd Southweste­rn Amateur Golf Tournament at Scottsdale’s Desert Mountain Club. Sohn, a Chandler Hamilton High School product, sits at 10-under par for the tournament and holds a onestroke advantage over second-round leader Chase Hanna, the 2017 Big 12 champion from Kansas City, Kan.

Harmon’s TD in OT lifts Rattlers to win in regular-season finale

Ketrich Harmon rushed for a touchdown from 2 yards out, lifting the Rattlers to a 47-44 overtime victory over the host Colorado Crush on Friday night. Sawyer Petre forced overtime with a 33-yard field goal with 12 seconds left. The Rattlers close their first regular season in the Indoor Football League with a 12-4 record.

Larson, Truex take top 2 spots in Michigan qualifying

BROOKLYN, Mich. - Kyle Larson won the pole Friday for the NASCAR Cup Series event at Michigan Internatio­nal Speedway.

Martin Truex Jr. qualified second, meaning the top two drivers in the points standings will start from the front Sunday. Truex is atop the standings, one point ahead of Larson. Everyone else is over 100 points behind.

Larson won his second pole of the season No. 42 Chevrolet.

McDonald’s ends Olympic sponsorshi­p deal 3 years early

LAUSANNE, Switzerlan­d - Fast-food chain McDonald’s has ended its Olympic sponsorshi­p deal three years early.

The Internatio­nal Olympic Committee says confidenti­al financial terms of the immediate separation were agreed to.

IOC marketing director Timo Lumme says “we understand that McDonald’s is looking to focus on different business priorities.”

McDonald’s was among 13 top-tier sponsors signed through the 2018 Pyeongchan­g Winter Olympics and 2020 Tokyo Games.

Zellous scores 28, leads Liberty past Wings 102-93 in OT
