Shane Doan has been an important part of our community

-

Why is it when a person is dragged off of an airplane four of our senators will get involved. And yet when our elderly are abused in our hospitals they will do nothing.

My husband was verbally abused in the emergency room and also had to wait for three hours for a catheter. The catheter was in the warehouse across the street.

I would like to see any of the senators wait that long for a catheter. Twice I went to the offices of Senators Jeff Flake and John McCain about the care my husband received.

I thank Mary at Sen. Flake’s office for trying, but he passed the buck and Sen. McCain would not get involved since Sen. Flake was involved.

Sen. McCain, you should retire immediately as you have double standards about our veterans. I once knew a woman who went to a veterinarian because of her poor care, is that what it’s coming to?

We also lost our rights to see our primary doctor in the hospital. What happened to our good care?

To demonstrate the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing, I received a condolence letter from the hospital.

Thank, God, my husband is alive and well. — Dianne Lutz, Sun City

I am not a hockey fan, but I know plenty of people who love the leadership, passion and community service Shane Doan has shown to the Phoenix Coyotes and the City of Phoenix.

I heard him on the radio, and he never said a bad word about his bosses after being rudely fired.

I’m afraid that if APS had to turn their pockets inside out and show us their dark money, several politicians and ACC members would fall out among the debris. — Lorelee Elledge, Sun City West

U.S. senators never forget people who put them in office

In Tuesday’s letter to the editor

In 1492, illegal immigrants landed in what is now known as North America.

Some Native Americans resisted the immigrants.

But others welcomed them and helped them settle here.

Look how it worked out for the natives. — Mitch Keiper, Chandler
