Arizona regulators need to throw the reins on electric utility

-

It seems Senators Susan Collins, RMaine, and two other women senators are leading the charge to disagree with proposals to repeal and replace the current Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare without making any proposals as to what they want new affordable health care to be.

It seems they are walking around in a house of mirrors trying to find a carnival to go to. — Max E. Newman, Surprise

If a private school takes public money, is it not then public?

The definition of a public school is “a school supported by public funds.” The definition of a private school is “a school supported by a private organization or individuals rather than the government.”

So wouldn’t the use of government money vouchers be turning all schools into public schools?

I am writing about the upcoming decision at the Arizona Corporation Commission that will impact our monthly APS electric bills.

For way too long APS has been trying to charge its customers more and more without providing good reasons or additional services.

I appreciate the financial rewards of investing in solar energy and energy efficiency.

However, I see APS undervaluing these resources and making poor choices that undermine those of us who work hard to conserve energy and move towards a cleaner, more efficient energy system.

APS should not be allowed to increase our rates or the monthly service charge.

APS is a monopoly that needs to be reined in by our elected commissioners.

I urge the commissioners to do just that. — George Gemma, Casa Grande
