Flooding shuts down U.S. 60 in Wickenburg
WICKENBURG — A monsoon storm dropped 2 inches of rain on the town of Wickenburg in about a one-hour span Thursday evening.
That led to flash flooding in some areas and the closure of a section of U.S. 60 in Wickenburg.
Arizona Department of Transportation officials say the highway was closed in both directions at Milepost 110. Late Thursday, there was no estimated time for it to be reopened.
ADOT officials said motorists should exit U.S. 60 well ahead of the closure and take an alternate route.
Wickenburg is about 54 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix.
