Larson, Neva N.

Neva N. Larson passed away August 27th, 2017, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Blevins, Arkansas September 21, 1938 to W.A. & Gatha Brooks. She was preceded in death by Daughter Cheryl Ann Mathews as well as three sisters. She leaves behind her beloved dog "Buddie", Daughter Carrie Lewis, Granddaughter Jennifer Halvorsen, Grandsons Randy Lewis & Bobby Lewis, 7 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandsons along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Neva’s family moved to Tucson when she was just 2 years old, she married Tom Larson in 1952. The family moved to the Grand Canyon in 1966 and then to Lakeside, where Neva worked for Navopache Electric. After the daughters married they traveled around and eventually built a home in Queen Creek. In 1981 she began her career in recruiting, a job she loved so much that after retirement she went back and worked another 2 years before retiring for good in 2014. She kept a garden in the backyard that 2 of her great granddaughters loved to help "Gramma Nene" with. Neva also loved to cook for her family and always made Sunday Breakfast for anyone who showed up but Holidays are where her cooking will be missed the most. Leukemia took this beautiful woman much too soon. Neva loved everyone & everyone loved Neva, she will always be missed. Friends and family will be gathering on her birthday September 21st for a celebration of her life in Chandler at Boulevard 35 at 6:30 pm. VFW Post 35 2240 West Chandler Boulevard, Chandler, Arizona.
