He was born in Castro Valley, CA and was the only child of Edith and Donald Davis who predeceased him. Glen grew up in the bay area of California and attended school at Lorenzo Manor School in Hayward, CA, Centerville Junior High in Fremont, CA, Calvary Lutheran School in San Lorenzo, CA and Marina High School in San Leandro, CA. Glen had an extensive work history with Major League Baseball. He began in 1988 for his beloved Oakland A’s working in the ticket office for 5 years, acquiring two World Series rings that he wore with pride. 1994 to 2003 Glen worked in various places for the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox Spring Training, for the Diamondbacks during the regular seasons, the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Texas Rangers and the Kansas City Royals, moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2003 to be near his parents. He worked as Assistant Director of Ticketing at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace until 2010. Loving Arizona and loving baseball, Glen returned to Camelback Ranch Spring Training in 2010 for the Chicago White Sox and the LA Dodgers where he worked until his passing. He became an expert in opening new stadiums that had two home teams. Glen knew the game of baseball well. He served as Manager on multiple softball teams. He was a kind, caring, generous person who loved deeply. He valued his close friendships over anything else. He is remembered as the tall guy with the blue eyes and a heart of gold. He is survived by his "sister" Marcy Heard and her son Tyler Heard of Scottsdale, AZ, her daughter Courtney Heard of Austin, TX, Jim Klever of Phoenix, AZ, cousins Ellen Harris and David Nugent of Bellingham, WA and the Nugent family of Washington and California, five siblings in California, 5 nieces and nephews, and family members in Texas. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Glen’s name to Oakland A’s Charities, Chicago White Sox Charities, or The Arizona Humane Society.
