56, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on September 22, 2017. A devoted husband, doting father, loving son, wonderful and generous man and a dedicated surgeon, he will be missed by his family, partners, colleagues, friends and by those he healed. Dr. Doxey was an active member of the American College of Surgeons having been board certified in General Surgery in 1997. He practiced in Virginia Beach, VA from 1997 to 2003. Upon his arrival in Arizona, he joined Valley Surgical Clinics. He served on the Credential­ing Committee and the Robotics Committee of Honor Health and on various boards at several local hospitals. He also served as the Honor Health Chair of Surgery 2014-2016, Vice Chair of Surgery 2013 and Co-Chair of the Surgery Advisory Committee 2010-2016. Dr. Doxey was a member of the Board of Directors for Cortney’s Place, a day program center for adults with special needs, an organizati­on dear to his heart. Brad is survived by his wife Janice Doxey, daughter Kate Doxey, mother Susan (Sugar) Doxey Barrow, sister Meredith Doxey PhD, brothers Jeff Doxey (Karen) and Claiborne Doxey (Ellen) and in-laws Johann and Albert McPherson. He was predecease­d by his sister Randie Doxey. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 2 pm at The Country Club at DC Ranch, 9290 E. Thompson Peak Pkwy, Scottsdale, AZ.
