63, of Glendale, Arizona passed away peacefully at Banner Thunderbir­d Hospital in Glendale on October 3, 2017. Born in Worthingto­n, Minnesota on August 22, 1954, Sheri had also resided in Warsaw VA, Martinsbur­g WV, Watertown WI, and Muncie IN before moving to Phoenix with her family in 1964. She graduated from West High School in 1972, attended Phoenix College, and graduated from Arizona State University in 1977 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, and attained her Master’s Degree in Educationa­l Counseling from the University of Phoenix in 1993. Sheri was retired from a long teaching career which included Northwest Christian Academy in Glendale and Charles W. Harris Elementary School in the Cartwright District in Phoenix. Sheri was also a substitute teacher in the Peoria and Washington school districts. Prior to teaching, Sheri had worked as a receptioni­st at KOOL-TV (now KSAZ/Fox 10) in Phoenix and at Central United Methodist Church. Sheri had a lifelong love of music; she sang in the choir at West High School, the ASU Concert Choir, various youth and adult choirs and ensembles at Central United Methodist Church, including the Sanctuary Choir, and in the Phoenix Symphony Chorus. At Central United Methodist Church, Sheri also conducted children’s choirs, performed in musicals, and traveled with tour choirs. Her choir tours included destinatio­ns to Poland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Italy, England, Greece, and the Caribbean. Sheri was passionate about serving the Lord and in the community, where she had been active at Central United Methodist Church, in Rainbow Girls, Girl Scouts of America, DUET, and the Arizona Walk to Emmaus. She loved leading music with children and staff at Mingus Mountain Methodist Camp. Sheri is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Paul Fisch; daughters Josalyn Norris Kammeyer and Elizabeth Norris; son-in-law Robert Kammeyer; brothers Jim Campbell and Jerry Campbell; sister-in-law Laura Sheridan-Campbell; her four grandchild­ren Jordan King, Kierstin Kammeyer, Delaney Kammeyer, and Harper Kammeyer; her aunt Lorna Marselas; her former husband John Norris; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 in the Sanctuary at Central United Methodist Church, 1875 N. Central, Phoenix 85004, with interment immediatel­y following in the church Columbariu­m.
