He won’t eat just anything, but Mikey likes everybody

- ASHLIEGH GOEBEL SPECIAL FOR THE REPUBLIC | AZCENTRAL.COM

Found limping along the grounds of an apartment complex with a badly injured leg, friendly Mikey hobbled around until someone finally took pity on him.

It didn’t take long for the 2-year-old American shorthair to find his footing after a few weeks of healing at the Arizona Humane Society.

The tabby requires nothing fancy in his new home. A window with a view for bird watching would strike his fancy.

With an enormous heart and a thundering purr, this impossibly sweet cat has plenty of love and devotion to give.

A special diet will help Mikey overcome his urinary tract infection and FIV means that he will live a long, happy life but needs to be your only cat. He welcomes mellow dogs with head bonks and purrs and loves kids of all ages.

To meet Mikey, call 602-997-7585 extension 2156 and ask for animal number A566678. His adoption fee has been waived and he’s already neutered, vaccinated, and has a microchip.

Previous Pet: Hope is still waiting for a home. Call and ask for animal number A561219.
