We can learn just as much about grit and perseverance from an everyday woman as we can from the toughest ballplayer.
Take for example Amy Hall, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer 18 months ago and has endured chemo, hair loss, radiation, surgery, blood transfusions and a creeping doubt that she didn’t dare speak out loud: She thought she was going to die.
