New Year’s Eve is the time of year to really do things up big.

There are lots of options for revelers on the final night of the year, whether you want to dress to the nines and sip fancy cocktails, wear a comfy flannel and jeans, or see a bigname DJ and dance the night away.

Coors Light is again teaming up with Valley Metro and Uber to make sure partiers get home safely. Starting at 7 p.m. Dec., 31 you can ride free on light rail, bus and Dial-a Ride until the end of regular service. Uber will offer 10 percent off two rides from all Valley Metro light-rail stations from 3 p.m. until end of regular metro service on Jan. 1. Just enter the promo code “CLYNE18” in the app.

Decadence

This massive two-night concert features a stellar EDM lineup. On Dec. 30, performers include Zeds Dead, Borgore and Big Wild, and on New Year’s Eve, Armin van Buuren, Tokimonsta and Justice (DJ set) are among those playing. For age 18 and older.

Flannel Ball New Year’s Eve Party

Want to be comfortabl­e for New Year’s Eve? Throw on your best flannel for this annual bash in downtown Phoenix. Enjoy live music, an art show, lawn games, a photo booth, food trucks and champagne toast at midnight.

Ring in the New Year at the rooftop bar at the Hotel Palomar, enjoying views of downtown Phoenix. The patio will feature plenty of heaters, and there’s a dance floor inside the ballroom. DJs will spin party mixes, and there will be a photo booth and multiple bars.

New Year’s Eve 2018 Block Party

Why go to just one party when you can do two? One ticket gets you into parties at both Crescent Ballroom and the Van Buren. Crescent Ballroom will close the street in front of the venue with heated tents and food trucks, with entertainm­ent from the Kalliope art car and DJs Sean Watson, Blossom, Stoneypie, Cormac, Frank Terry and the Drip Drop Records Showcase. The Van Buren will transform into Studio 18 with disco tunes from DJs Dana, Stoneypie and the Hi-Dreams DJ Collective.

Level Up! NYE 2018

The popular Cobra Arcade Bar in downtown Phoenix hosts a free party with music from Chris Villa and Meanmugg, pop culture-themed cocktails and plenty of arcade games.

The flashy Scottsdale nightclub will host DJ TJR on New Year’s Eve. The Connecticu­t-based DJ has put out popular tracks including “What’s Up Suckaz,” “Bounce Generation” and “Don’t Stop the Party” with Pitbull. VIP packages available.

Downtown Tempe will present a fireworks show at midnight, sponsored by Four Peaks Brewing Co. Food trucks will be around throughout the evening. There are 11 bars so far hosting special events, including the Champagne Ball at Whiskey Row and El Hefe, Electric Mantis and LYFTD performing at Shady Park and A Gatsby Affair New Year’s Eve 2018 at Low Key Piano Bar.

Electricit­y: New Year’s Eve 2017

Party to New Wave, Brit pop, indie and ‘80s tunes by DJs Manchester and Adrian Flanagan. The evening will feature drink specials and $2 PBR beers, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Evening Entertainm­ent Group’s clubs in downtown Scottsdale will each host a party. For example, Bevvy will host Let’s Get Strange NYE while Hi-Fi will host Roaring 20s NYE.

Head down to downtown Phoenix’s basement bar and music venue for this soiree. Hosted by Phoenix comedian Anwar Newton, the evening will feature music from Django Reinhardt and Gypsy Swing performed by Zazu, DJentrific­ation, DJ Vex and the Monroe Brass Band. Burlesque dancers will perform, and there will be tarot card readers and a special Southern cocktail menu.

NYE3 at Talking Stick Resort

The flashy resort hosts a bash featur-

ing three rooms of entertainm­ent in the Salt River Grand Ballroom. Purchase the dinner package for a buffet, seating and two drink tickets, or the party package, which includes six drink tickets. Both packages feature entertainm­ent, champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight. The first room features Queen tribute band Queen Nation and I Am King: The Michael Jackson Experience.
