President shows his ignorance

-

Two of the people who played crucial roles in the Iran deal were President Obama’s Secretary of Energy, Ernest Moniz, who has a PhD in nuclear physics, and his counterpart in Iran, who has a PhD in nuclear engineering.

Both have a deep understanding of the hundreds of things that need to be done to produce a nuclear weapon.

Essentially everyone on planet earth understands that this deal keeps Iran’s nuclear capability in a box for years to come. The Defense Department agrees, so does the NSA, the CIA, the Atomic Energy Commission, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations Security Council, NATO, the European Union, and on, and on.

But.

Trump doesn’t like it. He doesn’t understand the first thing about it, of course, he simply doesn’t like it.

This man is staggeringly ignorant and simple minded. He lacks both the background to understand, and the mental acuity to process, any idea of more than the slightest complexity.

He is a serious danger and threat to the 330 million people in the United States, and the 7 billion people in the rest of world.

Did media notice N. Korea violates virtually every deal it enters?

Hogwash. The left-leaning media questions how North Korea will view the United States pulling out of the Iran Deal.

They are concerned that North Korea will not trust that the United States will hold to any agreement that is made regarding denuclearization.

What they fail to acknowledge is that North Korea has made and broken every deal they have entered into in the 65 years since the Korean War.

So can anyone seriously believe that North Korea would be concerned about the possibility of the United States doing the same?

Hogwash!

Rather than criticize Basis.ed, we should send more kids to them

Montini’s anti-charter rhetoric is exhausting.

E.J. is at it again attacking the charter-school community. This time he is critical of the founders of Basis.ed for purchasing expensive residential real estate.

Basis Ed should be celebrated for producing 6 of the top 10 schools in the nation. The No. 1 school nationally is Basis Scottsdale. They achieve those impressive results from the same per-pupil funding as district schools.

And it appears they make a profit. Rather than condemn Basis Ed, we should increase the opportunity for more students to attend their schools given their effective and successful model.

Trump supporters can’t complain when he is barred from a funeral

I am a retired and disabled veteran and Arizona homeowner. I have known Sen. John McCain since the 1990s and have the greatest respect for him.

When I die, I have a will and executor that will carry out my wishes on funeral arrangements.

Some of my requests are to make it easier on some folks. Some requests are for economy.

I totally support Sen. McCain in his wish that Trump not attend his funeral. Trump and his supporters should reflect on their own mortality and how they will be perceived upon their death.

It is not their place to judge or to complain about another person’s dying wish.

John McCain has paid his dues and deserves the gratitude of a nation

I feel Sen. John McCain has done more for his country than most Americans and should feel free to retire with thank you’s from all the public.

He has paid his dues in many different ways.

Thank you, John McCain.
