Snow White
Named after the Disney beauty because of her self-appointed princess status, Snow White was a damsel in distress when she was found abandoned at the Arizona Humane Society’s Sunnyslope Campus earlier this month.
Found in great health, the 2-year-old gray shorthair rabbit was luckily rescued before the elements could get to her. Domesticated bunnies like Snow White are subject to great stress from both hot and cold weather, are prone to getting injured and do not have the instincts their wild cousins do to hide from predators or forage when left to fend for themselves.
While bunnies make great pets, it is important to know that they do have specific care required to be a happy and healthy companion, including a proper diet, enclosure, exercise and entertainment that includes toys, cardboard and socialization. For Show White, she loves to eat hay and veggies and prefers to sleep in a hutch with nice, warm bedding inside.
While this princess takes her sweet time warming up, once she does come around, she will be your best friend.
