Jimmy Staggs

SCOTTSDALE – Jimmy David Staggs of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on May 16, 2018 with family at his side. Jimmy was born on May 28, 1954 to Patty and Ralph Staggs in Phoenix, AZ. Jimmy had a quick witted sense of humor and a tender heart. The world has lost a brilliant and creative individual in his passing. He took great pleasure in not only reading Science Fiction, but in writing his own short stories. He was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. He performed in the Arcadia High School Choir and Shows, as well as college choir at SCC. Some of his fondest memories were of international travel with the choir. He frequently could be heard singing show tunes during whatever activity was taking place with the family. He had an encyclopedia of trivia stored in his brain. Whatever the topic of conversation, you could count on him to have some interesting facts to contribute. One of Jimmy’s favorite forms of entertaining family was reenacting “Nick Danger, Third Eye”, voices and sound effects included. Jimmy never married, but loved being an Uncle, and Grand Uncle. He also took great joy in caring for his doggy nephews, who will most certainly miss his presence dearly. Jimmy is survived by his siblings, Clyde Staggs, Jeff Staggs, and Cynthia Kempner. Family will be holding a private Memorial Gathering. In lieu of flowers, please attend a local Musical in Jimmy’s memory. Goodbye dear brother. See you in the same old place ... or is that The Old Same Place? (Nick Danger, Third Eye-Firesign Theatre). Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Indian School Mortuary.
