- – John Kenebrew Browning, Jr. passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of May 16, 2018. Born October 22, 1944, he loved a Willie tune, a Whataburge­r, and his home state of Texas. John grew up in Corpus Christi, TX and was a 1963 graduate of W.B. Ray High School, before earning a degree in Business Administra­tion from North Texas State University in Denton, TX. He moved his family to Arizona in 1974.

John had a long career in sales and radio. Over time he worked for Ralston-Purina, was co-owner and general manager for KNOT radio in Prescott, AZ and worked for both KNIX and KMEO after relocating to Phoenix. Retiring in 1995 he was a dedicated man about town, enjoying sports, sharing meals, and the company of a wide circle of friends.

John was predecease­d by his parents John Kenebrew Sr. and Lois White Browning, and by his brother Boyd James Browning. He is survived by his daughters Lauren (Greg) Miller and Heather (Brett) Arabie, both of whom live in the Austin area, and by his six grandchild­ren: Erin Miller, Brian Arabie, Jacob Miller, Benjamin Miller, Sarah Arabie, and Joshua Miller. Additional­ly, he is survived by an extended family of cousins with whom he was raised and loved dearly.

Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, TX in late June.
