MESA – 88, of Mesa/ Gilbert, AZ passed away May 10th, 2018. Born Sept. 12th, 1929 to Ross and Maude Woodcock in Chicago, IL. Beloved wife of Don McCulley (deceased Dec. 3rd, 2016) for 67 years. Pauline was inspiring. A strong example of a working wife and mother. Pauline’s number one priority was her family. Retiring as a grocery store meat dept. employee for various companies after over forty years. It was Pauline’s insight that took the McCulley’s from East Peoria, IL to Tempe, AZ in a 1968 adventure. Starting out as high school sweetheart­s, Pauline and Don, both overcoming challengin­g childhood years, made the American dream happen with decisive action and arduous work. Supporting Don in his Navy duties and many civic endeavors throughout the years. She enjoyed the friendship of many longtime friends. Pauline’s most satisfying moments centered on supporting everyone in her family, making family happen in a busy world. Her children and grandchild­ren will be forever grateful. Her comforting end of life statement of “I’ll be seeing you.” is packing with faith, hope and love.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Monica (Bart) McFarlane; son, Rawley (Sandy) McCulley; and grandchild­ren, Brian (Diana) McFarlane, Josh (Leah) McCulley; and great-grandchild­ren, Abby and Chloe McFarlane.

A celebratio­n of life will be June 6th at 9:00 am at Mesa Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ 85207. Donations can be made to the AZ Humane Society.
