The left is tolerant? Actually it’s filled with hate

This year’s Tony Awards were all about “tolerance” and “inclusion.” Except for Trump.

“F--- Trump,” said Robert DeNiro, to a standing ovation.

They hate Trump and won’t tolerate or include him.

Or the five million members of the NRA — roughly 2 percent of the adults in the U.S.

They hate them and won’t tolerate or include them.

Or the 63 million people who voted for Trump. They are deplorable.

Or the seven Supreme Court judges, including right-wing radicals Steven Breyer and Elena Kagan, who ruled that gay couples can’t force Christians to bake them a wedding cake. (I wonder why they didn’t try a Muslim bakery.)

Or the 44 percent of Americans who approve of Trump according to recent polls.

Or Chick-fil-A, whose owner said, “I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I’m not in favor of gay marriage.” (Oh, wait, that was Barack Obama, but never mind. He gets a pass; Chick-fil-A does not.)

For people who profess tolerance and inclusion, that’s a lot of intolerance and exclusion. And hate.

Where is the outrage? Trump has mistreated the Canadians

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sparked a vicious reaction by President Trump and White House trade adviser Peter Navarro for his comments that his government will work with the U.S. on tariff issues but that he will always protect Canadian workers and will not be bullied.

Trump’s personal attack on Trudeau as “very dishonest and weak,” and Navarro’s comment that “there is a special place in hell” for Trudeau is reprehensible. This vile behavior by Trump and Navarro is unworthy of the office of the presidency and does damage to our relationship with our Canadian friends.

Where is the outrage from Congress? They need to call our president out on this one.

Would you tell Muslims to grow a thick hide as you do Christians?

Re: Laurie Roberts column: If the Mesa Community College professor used “The Last Temptation” movie as a discussion piece for Christianity, he had to have used “The Satanic Verses” book by author Rushdie to stimulate discussion about Islam? Or maybe the “The God Makers” book about Mormonism.

I am guessing you would also tell those followers to be thick skinned, as well.

Telling the Christians to gird up and get used to offensive speech

Laurie Roberts says she is supportive of people “Getting used to feeling offended” and I agree, some of us are easily offended. Anyone who follows Laurie with any frequency knows her advice is only for very selective group, primarily Christians and white men. All others should be protected from offensive thoughts and words.
