MARICOPA On June 24th our beloved Linda Ann Demain passed away from a recent illness with family and friends at her side. This wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, great grandmother will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There was always a smile for friends and strangers alike , even though inside she was in pain from her many ailments.

Linda was born on October 28’, 1942 to Sol & Beatrice Frank in Brooklyn NY. Raised with her two younger siblings Howard and Sheryl the family moved to Queens NY . Linda graduated from Jamaica H.S where Linda was in the Art Class. Linda loved Art so much that there was not a piece of paper or article of clothing that did not have her drawing on it. Linda’s art teacher told her that she should apply her talents to design. After that talk Linda said her designs were “ANYTHING BUT ORDINARY”.

Linda met her future husband Ed on a blind date in 1962, before they saw each other for the first time Ed told her on the phone he was over 6 ft tall, to impress her he was actually 5’11, however he did not know that Linda was 5’10. When Ed came to the door to pick up Linda his gaze went up , Linda thought since he is over 6 ft tall she would put on her high heels which put her at 6 ftl inch. Linda’s gaze went down when she realized he was not that tall so she went back into her bedroom and put on flat heel shoes to wear for the evening. This story has always been repeated for family , friends and strangers who became friends and had a great laugh together.

Linda started the picture Lady program in the Aberdeen-Matawan school district in New jersey. Linda became a parent and Child advocate within the school district for hand i-cap children . Linda and Ed moved to Maricopa in 2005 where Linda immediately became a founding member of Copa’s Art Council and picture Lady program in the Maricopa school district. For the past two years was head judge for the MUSD art awards in Maricopa and proud winner of 3 creative artistry blue ribbons. For the past 3 years Linda has submitted designs to Vida Company that takes artists designs and puts them on their own womans clothing and accessories. Linda participated in many craft shows through out the valley selling her one of a kind hand painted shirts, and handbags with bling all over.
