Peg Cahill Irons
HENDERSON, NV – Mary Margaret Cahill Irons (Peg) peacefully passed away surrounded by family on July 4, 2018
Peg Cahill was born in Middletown, OH November 5, 1931. One of five siblings, the John J and Fedora Morton Cahill family relocated to Bennington, VT where Peg attended school. In 1951 she married John H Dailey (Jack). The Dailey family moved to South Burlington, VT in the early 1960’s where Jack pursued his career in the automotive industry and Peg focused on her family. Following many life changes, Peg moved to NV to begin a new life. When she visited Bennington to attend her 50th high school class reunion, she and Al Irons rekindled an old friendship that eventually led to their marriage and several lovely years of companionship and travel. Although Al passed away in 2007 Peg continued to include him in her thoughts and prayers every day.
Her love of family, her loyal friends and her strong religious beliefs sustained her through life’s ups and downs. Peg’s loved ones will miss the light that she was and her kind and forgiving heart, her ability to navigate life with a sense of humor and her generosity.
Peg is survived by her children Marlene Dailey and husband Paul Whalen; Kimberley Dailey Molina and Michael Molina; and John J Dailey. She was predeceased by her son John H Dailey, Jr. and daughter Anne Dailey.
Her grandchildren Melissa, Daniel and Kevin Molina; son-in-law Ryan Kayser; great grandchildren Kyla, Brooklyn and Teigan Kayser.
Peg’s sister Betty LaBonte and brothers Martin Cahill and David Cahill and their families; God children; nieces and nephews; and in-laws.
Stepsons and their families Chip and Sharon Irons; Jamie and Monica Irons; Randy Irons and Dee Mills.
Peggy’s family wishes to thank the many caring individuals at Coronado Heights Senior Living who helped Peg enjoy her new life there and provided memory care with skill and dedication.
On November 13, 2018 there will be a memorial service at Peg’s former parish, St Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 N. Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351.
