Trump needs body cam when conducting our foreign policy

- Jack Lowell, Tempe Henry Richards, Scottsdale Contact him: Joe Decerbo, Scottsdale Gerry Huffman, Fountain Hills

A large proportion of Americans are questioning President Trump’s ability to represent the United State in meetings with world leaders, friend or foe. He has lately criticized and insulted our allies, and most recently rejected evidence that Vladimir Putin most likely ordered the cyberattack on our elections in 2016 to present, and meeting behind closed doors with the Russian strongman.

Trump’s most important meetings with the North Korean and Russian heads of state have been hidden from the U.S. public. He has lost the confidence of many Americans who now consider him unfit to be POTUS, much less formulate our foreign policy.

As the public has pushed for body cams for law enforcement, it’s now the time to have our government officials wear body cams.

President gets cozy with Putin to put some fear in NATO partners

Let’s be honest for once. Trump is playing footsie with the Russians in order to scare the Europeans into carrying their fare share of NATO.

We have been pushovers too long. Many of these countries have standards of living as high or higher than ours, yet we continue to carry the load.

Trump has turned out to be disaster for America, our values

I generally like Robb’s viewpoints, but his recent column is off base. Asserting the timing of indictments of Russian agents shows it was political is irrelevant.

All the intelligence committees had already established Russia meddling.

The fact that the indictments came out shouldn’t have impacted Trump one bit as to his approach to Putin.

And the fact that Trump is incapable of walking a rhetorical tightrope is also a lame excuse. He is the president of the United States, not a novice in communications by any means.

He knows exactly what he says. Politics may have been considered somewhat, but the bottom line is that Trump is a disaster for America and our values.

Mesa reader Mary Wheeler writes about immigrants, “Why don’t we welcome these people with open arms?” Here is my answer:

We have polluted air and water, we have an overburdened infrastructure, we have mountains of plastic trash which have a life cycle of 200-plus years.

Our clogged. streets and highways are

Studies show that this influx is likely to destroy our two-party political system, which opens the door to dictatorships.

When the English settled Jamestown in the formative colonial era, this was a vast open land.

Emigrants were needed. Now, nearly 400 years later, with 323-million people destroying our habitat, open borders will lead this nation to third-world status.
