Lawrence S. “Larry” Kazmier

PEORIA – Larry passed away on June 7, 2018. He was born January, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, to Stanley and Theresa Kazmiercza­k. He was predecease­d by his parents, brother, Norbert Kazmier, and sister, Sister Dolores Kazmiercza­k. He is survived by his wife, E. Jane, brother, Clarence, children, Donald, Laura and Kristie, grandchild­ren, Kyle, Katie, Michael and Stewart, stepsons, Gregory and Stephen, step grandchild­ren, Connor, Katherine, Jack and Brenna, and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Larry was raised in the West Pullman area of Chicago and was very proud of his Polish heritage. Vacationin­g in Poland in 2008, he surprised everyone by speaking fluent Polish. He was one of the founders of the Brittany Spaniel Club in the south Chicago area. Besides showing his dog, he was a field trial judge.

After his honorable discharged from the Air Force in 1955, he continued his passions for cars, airplanes, music, and golf. This included flying his own plane for many years, attendance at concerts, and a hole-in-one. His passion for cars led to his career of 60+ years in auto sales and management in the Chicago area and Phoenix. He won many awards for his experience and was often the top sales person.

Larry loved to travel and thought nothing of long road trips to visit family and friends. He spent time in Morocco while serving his country and vacationed throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia.

Most of all Larry loved giving parties and entertaini­ng at his home. Everyone loved Larry, his stories, jokes and smile. His final party was on Memorial Day, 2018. He will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held Friday, July 27th , at 10 am, at the Regency Mortuary, 9850 W Thunderbir­d Blvd., Sun City, with interment following at the National Cemetery N Cave Creek and Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix.
