PHOENIX – Carol peacefully passed away to heaven into the presence of her Lord and Savior, God and Jesus, on July 20, 2018, at her home in Phoenix with her family and friends by her side. She was born April 4, 1941 in Morristown, New Jersey to Wilson and Stella

Rea. She was predecease­d by her parents, her sister Marilyn, and her granddaugh­ter Emma Rose. She is survived by her husband Myles, children Kimberly, Shawn, Kari and Steven, and grandchild­ren Lauren, Justin, Todd, Jake, Haley, Cassidy, Nicholas, and Bentley. Myles and Carol thank God for 56 years of marriage. She died from a very rare, inherited, brain disease called CADASIL, of which there is no cure. Carol grew up through Junior High in Bethlehem, PA, attended 2 years of High School in Summit, NJ, one year in St. Paul, MN, and her senior year in Reading, PA. Her college years were at Lasell College in Boston and Macalester College in St. Paul, and most memorable and God given success of 4 semesters of New Testament Greek at Grand Canyon College in Phoenix when she was 60 years old. Carol taught Bible Study classes at North Phoenix Baptist Church for 30+ years. She also was an interprete­r for the deaf at NPBC for 15 years. The legacy of her life can’t be summed up in mere words. Her legacy lives on in the lives of those who love her and are missing her greatly. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 4that 11:00am in the Chapel at North Phoenix Baptist Church, Central and Bethany Home Road. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested donations be made to North Phoenix Christian Soccer Club for refugee players ---5757 N. Central, Phx 85014.
