‘Deplorable!’ ‘Racist!’ Get ready. It’s coming.
Sixty percent of eligible voters turn out for presidential elections and 40 percent for midterms.
That stinks!
But, I know why. Because your candidate has dug up a lot of dirt to tell me how disgusting mine is and vice versa. It’s a lose-lose proposition. Who would want to vote for any of those dirt bags? How about trying a new approach? Start out each speech with, “Of course my opponent believes he / she will make your life better, that is why they are running. However, here is why you will be even better off by voting for me.”
It is just a dream I suppose. Gird your loins for the next few months. All you’re going to hear is “Nazi,” “racist,” “deplorable,” “thief,” “colluder,” “hates children and old people,” and, of course, the closer, “wants to take away your rights.”
It looks like a lot of the liberals are becoming closet socialists
I have several liberal friends. When we dare to discuss politics, I find myself agreeing with many of their ideas (guaranteed minimum income, free state college tuition, free health care for everyone, etc.). After discussing these, my line of questioning usually goes something like this:
1) How are we going to pay for these programs? No answer.
2) Should we increase the national debt to pay for these programs? Answer: Yes
3) When the national debt reaches a point when we can no longer add to it, what do we do? Cut the programs or raise taxes. Answer: Raise taxes
4) Taxes can only be raised on people who have the money to pay them. Who will that be? Answer: The wealthy citizens.
5) So because most of the citizens who have benefited from these programs will not be able to pay for them with taxes, the middle class and the wealthy will be forced to pay for the taxes that paid for the social programs.
To me the result of this process is socialism — spending other people’s money on programs that generally do not benefit them.
Do liberals understand this? If they do I believe they will not admit to it.
The best thing that ever happened to Trump is the Mueller probe
Why in the world would Trump want to end the Mueller investigation? I don’t understand.
Before long it will be wrapped up. Then he will be completely vindicated. There will finally be proof that there was no collusion; no conspiracy; that the entire investigation was a witch hunt; that all the people involved in it were crooked and corrupt, just out to get him.
His good name will be cleared for all history. It’s a win-win-win-win-win... situation for him. The Mueller investigation is the best thing that ever happened to him; he couldn’t have asked for more; it’s a godsend.
Why, oh, why would he want to stop it?
I would have never believed anyone could out lie Slick Willie Clinton.
The present POTUS (Ronald McDonald Trump) can. And does.
He can out lie Slick Willie with one hand tied behind his back. He can do it with one eye closed. He can do it hopping on one foot, out of both sides of his mouth while holding a Bible in his other hand. He can do it in his sleep.
How Slick Willie feels about this we don’t know. He seems content to let the title slip away. Maybe he is still preoccupied with trying to figure out what is.
