❚ Michael’s: The arts-and-crafts store offers great deals on all things needed for art class, including glue, Crayons, colored pencils and more. Most of their back-to-school items are buy one, get one half off, so it’s best to go to Michael’s if you need two or more of the same item.

❚ Target: Target has deals running for the season, like buy one get one free on certain materials. They also have uniform basics starting at $5. Don’t forget to check their dollar section at the front of the store.

❚ Office Depot: Make sure to check Office Depot’s website for its clearance section, coupons and weekly ads for the best deals.

❚ Thrift stores: Check out your local thrift store for items like a backpack or lunch bag. Thrift stores also tend to carry affordable, basic clothing needed for school uniforms.
