With a personality as vast and as beautiful as her namesake, Sky is a loving girl who has overcome so much in the past few weeks. But she always with a smile on her face. The adorable border collie fancies herself as four years young and is proud of how she has beat the odds.
Originally brought to a local animal clinic after being hit by a car, the sleek beauty was picked up by the Arizona Humane Society in early July and transferred to its Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital. It was originally thought the poor girl had a spinal compression due to the trauma she had received from the accident. After a few weeks of medicine and a watchful eye from AHS’ veterinary care staff, Sky is now raring and ready to go — with her trademark grin shining as bright as ever, of course!
As smart as she is sweet, Sky knows how to sit and will show off how well she walks on a leash any chance she gets. Being a working and herding breed, this collie would love to learn more tricks and exercise her brain while bonding with her future forever family.
This cutie absolutely loves to be pet and will never turn down a good massage. A great mix of relaxed with a bit of energy, Sky is a well-rounded pup that will be the perfect snuggle buddy after a fun day of playful antics.
HOW TO ADOPT: Sky is available Sunday, August 5 at noon at the Arizona Humane Society’s Campus for Compassion,1521 W. Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip and a free follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital.
