AHWATUKEE – Lynn Howard Sartor, 75, of Ahwatukee, Arizona, fought a brave and heroic battle against the constant complications from cancer treatment. On July 6, 2018 the Sartor and Segura families and friends lost a great man. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clarence H. Sartor and Virginia H. Sartor. He attended schools in Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy at the top of his class. He was in the Phi Kappa Pharmacy Honorary Society. Lynn is survived by his wife Alice Segura; sister Patricia J. Sartor, son Scott G. Sartor, daughter Mindy and Colby Tueller; son Matthew and Toni Bedke, and daughter Jennifer Sartor and Wim Meeus. He has 5 grandchildren Sydnee Sartor, Everett and Mira Tueller, Hazen and Ivy Bedke and Emilia Meeus. He also considered his nieces and nephews, Judith Manriquez and Chris Damon, Gabriel and Tiffany Manriquez, Cynthia and Jacob Melton and Gregory and Helen Manriquez, plus their children very much a part of his extended family. His father, Clarence, mother Virginia, brothers Ronald and Gary and granddaughter, Jordan, preceded him in passing away.

Lynn worked for and contributed to many US healthcare companies; including FHP Utah, FHP Arizona, PacifiCare, Vision 21, Schaller Anderson, Care1st, Maricopa Integrated Health Care and Health Choice of Arizona. He appreciated the many mentors and friends he made over his business life of more than 50 years and tried to return those successes, experiences and insights over to the next generation. He remembered fondly and told stories about the many pharmacy interns, techs, pharmacy directors, PA techs and managers he had worked with. He lived by several personal codes: “Have fun, it pays the same, approve the care for the patient, if you would do so for your mother, and, if a decision, contract or deal will stand the scrutiny of the 6 o’clock news report, then it is the right and ethical thing to do.”

Lynn was very proud of his large extended family and the many friends he made during his professional and business life of more than 50 years. He had a full life graduating college (first in his family) in the 60’s, first marriage with 2 children, second marriage with 2 children, coaching various youth activities, and a third marriage having a super fun life in Arizona with Alice. He enjoyed travelling, fine dining, being a wine enthusiast, woodworking, household projects and all the other past times that retirement allowed. A Celebration of Life will be held in Salt Lake City on October 29th at the Utah University Union Bldg. at 11 AM. He wished all to wear a Hawaiian shirt and raise a toast to the “Good Life”. Cremation by the Neptune Society.
