Yes, and hell yes, I’m ready to live my life like a Swede

Regarding the letter to the editor “Like socialism? Ready to live your life like a Swede?”:

What a question the gentleman asks! You mean would I rather have a longer life span; have my daughter or wife far less likely to die in childbirth; have excellent and affordable health care; have my child graduate from college without lifelong crippling debt; be many times less likely to die violently; vote in elections which were not totally dominated by enormous donations paying for simplistic political slogans.

Have access to affordable and convenient short and long distance mass transit; live in a country much farther up the “happiness” scale than the United States? And so forth?

Or choose, on the other hand a rapidly receding and, for an increasing number, inaccessible American Dream?

This is why Franken had to go. The American people are sick of doublestandards and politics as usual. Perhaps if the Democrats had recognized this a few years ago, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are currently in.

Things are looking very favorable for the Democrats in November. The midterm elections are theirs to lose — and ol’ boys when they

President Trump knows he will be incredibly empowered if Robert Mueller’s probe shows he is honest and above board.

So why is he so desperate to stop it? Mueller could catapult Trump to incredible success.

Or maybe not.

Maybe dogs should replace donkeys as the Democratic mascot

All technological advances, Morse code, telephone, radio, TV, and others, have been used to great effect by American presidents.

Today it’s Twitter.

Could anyone have envisioned that the current president would use this adolescent form of communication 24/7?
