Police: Tucson man lured teen online

- Bayan Wang

A 30-year-old Tucson man was arrested by Florida detectives on Tuesday on suspicion of soliciting a 13year-old Florida girl online and arranging plans for her to visit him.

Kevin Dock met the girl, who lives in Winter Haven, Florida, on Roleplay.Me, a social network dedicated to online role playing, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.

Dock then continued communicating on Google’s Hangout app, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Through these channels, Dock sent the teen pornographic images, video chatted with her and requested she perform sexual acts, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

The Sheriff’s Office did not specify how long the two were communicating with each other.

Dock instructed the teen to purchase a bus ticket from Florida to Tucson, to become his “sex slave and other stuff,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies found Greyhound bus tickets in the girl’s room with Dock’s name on them after her parents reported her missing on July 30. They were for a July 31 departure and an Aug. 1 arrival in Tucson.

When the girl returned home later on July 30, she admitted to her parents and deputies that “she left home to go see a ‘friend in Arizona’ ” whom she met online named Kevin Dock, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies obtained the girl’s communication devices and found nude images of Dock and graphic sexual language, officials said. Detectives then chatted with Dock online under the guise of the victim, officials said.

Shortly after, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said it obtained Dock’s address from the Tucson Police Department and deputies traveled to Tucson to serve him a warrant for his arrest.

Tucson police also are investigating Dock for child pornography that was discovered on his electronic devices obtained during a search of his Tucson home, officials said.

Dock will be extradited to Polk County, Florida, where he will face multiple felony charges, including the solicitation of a child, seducing and luring a child, lewd battery and transmitting material harmful to a child, officials said.
